To Dye For

As women, we strive to look our best. But at what cost? The price we pay for beauty is our health. I never used to think about beauty products affecting my inner mechanics, until recently. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating ditching our beauty routines. On the contrary, I’m asking you to be mindful and find natural alternatives to commercial brands. What we put on our bodies is just as important as what we feed our bodies.

I have a friend who dyed her hair constantly and as a result she is balding. My mother has been dying her hair for decades and she is losing her hair. I was always so nervous about dying my hair, that I would only do it twice a year. As a result, I ended up looking a bit frumpy. But thankfully, frump girl is long gone.

I decided there has to be a way to keep the greys away without comprising my hair’s health. I did extensive research and discovered organic hair dye. This intrigued me, so I delved in and found Henna King. I am in love with their dyes. The process is a bit messy and takes longer, but the results are worth the effort. 6 months ago I dyed my hair and the grey is just starting to show. 6 months later, ladies! This is a miracle in itself, because as we all know, when we use commercial dyes, our roots start showing within 2-3 weeks.

I’m psyched I found an alternative, now I can dye my hair free from fear and toxic disaster. Will you stand up for natural beauty?
